I love this photo. It would have been one thing just posting a straight forward photo of a turkey, but this one is special. He looks like he is fleeing somebody to escape the chop of the knife.
What a wonderful photo. Lucky you!! I see wild turkeys here at a distance in fields, and occasionally flying across country roads when we are on a drive, but only once up close (in Arizona of all places). Wonderful program on PBS "My Life as a Turkey" last week. Lucky you
Shooting this Turkey flock was a good time. I was able to spend about 25 minutes with them. I would move to the right...they would start circling to the left. Very crafty birds. Eventually they made it into the woods and I was no longer able to follow.
