Every once in awhile I see something on the net that just sticks with me. I can not seem to shake it. A thought, person, photo, image....something will just stay in my brain and pop up randomly.
This painting of Tami Hoag's beautiful mare Feliki is one of those 'things'. It was painted by Terri Miller, who beside being a talented painter is a fabulous photographer.
Terri has a blog. She did a post called The Making of Feliki back in December. It unveils the artists process and has really nice pictures.
Check it out.

Great painting,I have been trying to get to my studio to paint. I am feling a bit more inspired each day. I will go check her site out. Maybe it will be the inspiration I need.
I love how beautiful and shiny the horses coat looks - very nice painting!
Lovely painting - full of life and vivacity.
Well, I'm a sucker for beautiful art work -- but I especially love looking at beautiful paintings of horses... and the picture of the little dog on her blog banner looks a heck of a lot like my dearly departed Little Dog (RIP)
It's lovely!
Shell....I too like that about it.
Lady Fi...Yes vivacity....excellent word for it.
TW...ummmm....am I missing something on your blog....is there a link to your paintings. I'm off to check.

The horse is stunning and she just looks so real. When I first saw the painting I thought it was nice. Then as I read through the blog and saw the photos the size of it stunned me. And made me love it even more. But there is something else about it....that is eluding me. Some reason why it just stuck. Maybe the colors...the color of the horse...the background. I don't know...I do love it though.
I love it because it's bold.
WOW! That is a beautiful picture.
I admire anyone, who can see something beautiful, and then place it on a canvas, so that others can share the view.
Thanks for the link Tami, I really enjoyed readng about her artistic process..it is a stunning painting:)
Far Side....yes I enjoyed that peek into the process as well. It was fascinating. I enjoyed the pictures of the different stages too!
