Lights Camera Action

Okay so I'm a tad bit obsessed with my new camera. Just a wee bit. The only problem is that I'm taking so many pictures that I don't have time to learn to use Photoshop...I've been wanting to address some trouble spots on some of my shots but have not had the time to sit down and teach myself. But I find that I'm wanting to post. I'm making progress on this Manuel mode thing.

This is my boy Obie...he recently had his 18th birthday. No matter where he is, or how green the grass is, he always comes running when he spots me. I love that. Can you feel the love?

I can feel it! I never mastered photoshop. Even took a class, well, started a class, got frustrated with the group learning experience and quit! Oh well, I use picnik.com.

The Wife...I was thinking about signing up for a photoshop class. I just can not sit at my computer and focus. I was going to try yesterday (it was raining) I turned on the computer and got out Scott Kelby's book. I last about 15 minutes.....

Decided it would be more interesting to play with shutter speed and rain drops. SIGH!!!!

Maybe I have some sort of adult ADHD???

Tami,
Yes! I can! Last summer, I learned a bit about the sensitivity of horses. Too much to post here, but they are gentle, beautiful creatures and you've captured this well. Wow! Would love to be closer to you to learn a little from you, and take a look at the equipment that is producing such wonderful shots -- as well as the woman behind it all. Thanks for sharing!

What a great picture! I can tell he is running twards you for a visit! I am wanting a new camera. I am saving my pennies. I have been using picasa to edit my photos. It does a pretty good job and is very asy to use.

Spruce Hill...I use Picasa for picture storage and easy posting. Cropping and lighteneng and shadowing are easy in that program....but I really wanted to 'fix' the blown out color on the left side of this picture and there is no way to do that in Picasa....

I'm going to take Far Sides advice an wait for winter I think!

P.S Spruce Hill.....I got a $20 rebate from Adobe on my Elements purchase because I'm updating from Picasa to their software. FYI...in case your looking to upgrade.

Amy....the addiction has been totally rekindled! I've always enjoyed shooting with my PandS and now I remember the totally joy of shooting with my 35MM SLR! Love love love...

Hannibal...Thank you so much. I'm still thinking about your Barn Swallow shot...it's stuck in my brain. That shot really is the epitome perfection to my eye.

Ms. Claudia...and no expensive appointment with a stylist for that look for him.

Gorgeous picture! I love the light and composition! Have you used Lightroom at all? It is another Adobe program...a little more user friendly than Photoshop and good for most post processing. :-) I would love to upgrade to a 40d...one of these days!

Tami Weingartner said...

Jenna....this was processed in Picasa. No crop but a little but of saturation adjustment. I have the original as a raw...and someday when I get over my 'photoshop disability' I would like to process it proper.
