First Sunday of Advent | St. Paul Cathedral

1st Sunday of Advent at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh PA
Advent is such a special time.  I was so happy to make the trip to Pittsburgh on Saturday night with part of my family for the vigil mass for the 1st Sunday of Advent.  I'm looking forward to being able to take the next several weeks to reflect on this past year.  To prepare for Christmas from a nonsecular viewpoint.

How lovely! Advent is celebrated here too with saffron buns, candles and church concerts.

I belong to the main Afrikaans church in South Africa which is the Dutch Reformed Church and we don't do (celebrate? not sure what to call it) Advent. But I would be delited to share your memories and experiences with you.

Jonker...I will be happy to have you along for this. It will be interesting to see what traditions we may have in common.
