Japanese Fall Glory

My very most favorite tree in the yard. The beautiful Acer palmatum var. atropurpureum 'Bloodgood' aka Bloodgood Japanese Maple. I will post some pictures of the different variations of the Japanese Maple in a couple of days. All beautiful. This one is of course very old.

So jealous of your trees. I have a photography assignment for autumn colors and of course, around here, there's not anything that pretty. Can you feel my pouty face?

Absolutely spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing that little glimpse of wonder and brilliance.

Very nice Japanese Maple, a good name for it 'Bloodgood'! We cannot grow them here, we are a zone 3..which makes many trees and perennials difficult, and not worth the effort because they will winterkill. But I do appreciate the photo:)
