Quitting Time

We have had a couple of atypical sunsets here on the farm over the last couple of weeks.  December in Western Pennsylvania is usually gloomy and overcast with the sun rarely making an appearance.  Who am I to question Mother Nature when she offers up displays like this for the end of the day dog walk?

such a beautiful state in which we live. You know, my husband backpacked through Ireland, and while he loved it and thought it was beautiful, he said that he felt like he was in PA.

Wow great shot! There have been some interesting sunsets lately when it isn't cloudy or snowing!

Bekah...soooo envious of your hubby's backpacking trip through Ireland! Although I think that PA is just breathtaking....I would like to try Wales, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, and Russia....oh and I've not been to Alaska yet!

That is really pretty!

WOW that sunset is great, a little farther south of you all I have seen is doom and gloom. That picture would make a good banner for your blog.

A lovely photograph Tami, thank you for visiting and commenting on my journal but I cannot find an e mail address to reply to your question personally. I have left a comment on my journal in reply but a friend said I should leave one here. The website I recommend for more photos of Orkney is http://www.freewebs.com/cyberpriest
Having read a little of your blog I think you will enjoy it.
Many of the photographs on my journal have been taken on Orkney but I haven't been labelling them perhaps I should?

Absolutely gorgeous. What glorious colours!

How lovely, especially if you usually have grey and gloomy skies.

Claudia...I'm not so great at banners...they are either way to big and push the new posts under the 'fold' or they are the right size buy then you can not read the writing. Go figure!

Bookbabie...the snow came with a vengence in November but has been fleeting since then.

Liz...thank you for the link...I'm very excited to go and check out the Orkney pix!
