Sorry to answer here, but on your question on the photo of the lion. He was probably about 10 or 15 meters from the game drive vehicle and I had my superzoom camera on full zoom which is 18x optical zoom. Whatever that equates to in mm.
Well, I just had to come back and keep looking! This shot is a joy! :)
I really like this photo! Makes me want to be there.
